2025

As of 31 December 2024, Cogito Retail GmbH & Co. KG and SHD Einzelhandelssoftware GmbH operate as one joint company. The Cogito brand remains an independent line of business. The realignment bundles competencies and leverages synergies, with no impact on existing contracts or projects.

2024

Board members Stefan Hahne and Hans Pfrommer hand over to their successors Dietmar Meding and Bernd Anspach on 1 January 2024. The seamless transition secures the market-leading position and long-term competitiveness.

2023

In October, SHD celebrates 40 years of success. The group consists of 14 subsidiaries in Germany and abroad with more than 600 employees.

2022

Tesy Software acquires the majority of Sintesys, a manufacturer of integrated solutions for the furnishing industry supply chain. In March, SHD AG also acquires the majority of hey.kitchen GmbH from Andernach.

2020

SHD AG acquires the majority of the Italian software specialist Tesy Software S.r.l. and extends its reach in the European market.

2019

Acquisition of the majority of the French specialist Transtechnology SAS, market leader for the kitchen and interior industry in France.

2017

Acquisition of the Dutch specialist Simar automatisering bv, one of the leading IT companies for kitchen and bath in the Benelux countries. SHD continues to focus on its core business in the furniture and kitchen industry.

2016

Acquisition of ArtiCAD (United Kingdom) and, via ArtiCAD, 75% of Generalsoft Ltd. Also acquisition of Cogito Retail GmbH & Co. KG. Stefan Hahne becomes CEO of SHD AG.

2014

Stefan Hahne, managing director of SHD Einzelhandelssoftware since September 2013, is appointed to the board of SHD AG in April, taking over sales and marketing. In December, Manfred Sattler retires as shareholder and member of the supervisory board.

2013

In October, the SHD Group celebrates its 30th anniversary with the SHD-Ehrensache initiative, supporting one social project for every year of its existence. On 1 August, Bernd Hilgenberg is appointed to the board of SHD AG for development and technology.

2012

The logistics division is merged into SHD Einzelhandelssoftware GmbH & Co. KG.

2011

The SHD Group realigns itself and converts into a stock corporation. Under the umbrella of the new SHD AG, the proven structure of subsidiaries continues.

2009

Sale of the wholesale division with the SANGROSS product.

2008

The SHD Group celebrates its 25th anniversary.

2007

Foundation of SHD KPS Nordic ApS in Esbjerg, Denmark. Awarded the German Internet Prize 2007 for the KPS Click&design reference application.

2003

The number of customers grows to almost 1,900. More than 75,000 users in retail companies work with SHD system solutions.

2002

Integration of Programm-Standard GmbH as the wholesale division into SHD Datentechnik. SHD Holding acquires all shares of intelligent graphics AG, founded in 2000.

2001

Acquisition of the SANGROSS division and foundation of the new Programm-Standard GmbH & Co. KG as a subsidiary of SHD Holding. Merger of GfF and GfP into gff Finanz- und Personalwirtschaftssysteme GmbH.

2000

Conversion of SHD into a holding structure with SHD Holding and SHD Datentechnik as a wholly owned subsidiary. Cooperation with Eastern Graphics GmbH in Ilmenau and foundation of intelligent graphics AG for e-business solutions. 1,300 customers, over 290 employees and 28 apprentices.

1998/99

Foundation of the Gesellschaft für Finanzwirtschaftssysteme (GfF). Strategic spin-off of the DMS division to Easy Software AG.

1996

Expansion of business activities to the Czech Republic. Introduction of the PROXESS document management system. Foundation of the Gesellschaft für Personalwirtschaftssysteme (GfP). 980 customers and 277 employees.

1994

772 customers, 263 employees and 26 new apprentices.

1988

Introduction of the LAGERORGANISATION system. KPS and LAGERORGANISATION become independent business units. Expansion of business activities to Austria. 90 employees and 11 apprentices.

Expansion of business activities to Switzerland. Product launch of the creative planning system KPS.

13 employees support 50 installed furniture retail systems (MHS).

Conversion into Sattler/Hüning Datentechnik GmbH. 10 employees.
