Andernach, 29 September 2025: Every year, area30 is the industry meeting point for kitchen innovation. In 2025, SHD used this stage to send a strong message: connectivity is the future.
Under the guiding theme “OneSHD”, visitors to the SHD stand could experience how digital solutions work together seamlessly across all processes: from the first customer enquiry and detailed kitchen planning through to ERP, after-sales and installation. Every stage of the customer journey is intelligently supported, consistently documented and made tangible. SHD's ambition at this year's area30 was not merely to present software, but to showcase intelligently connected experience worlds.
At the heart of SHD's trade fair presence was the KPS.MAX Suite, which digitally maps the entire kitchen planning process. It unites modules for planning, consultation, 3D visualisation and quotation generation in a single system, ensuring that information flows between the individual areas without any media discontinuity.
A special highlight of the trade fair appearance was an exclusive first preview of the new ERP solution SHD Connect, designed specifically for small and mid-sized kitchen studios. Browser-based, intuitive to use and fully integrated with KPS.MAX, SHD Connect covers the entire business process: from quotation creation through order processing, materials management and logistics to invoicing. The close integration with planning ensures that changes are adopted in real time and information gaps between departments become a thing of the past.
With KPS.MAX vision, planning becomes an emotional experience: visitors to the SHD stand could test the tool live, step into their future kitchen virtually with a VR headset, experience materials and surfaces first-hand and view the room realistically in 3D. Immersive consultation makes it possible to compare variants instantly and present the result with lifelike accuracy. This is complemented by the online kitchen planner KPS.MAX web, which lets end customers develop ideas, plan kitchens and communicate directly with the studio online. For retailers, KPS.MAX web acts as a reliable lead generator even before the first direct customer contact.
To ensure that connectivity does not end with planning, SHD also presented smart after-sales solutions at area30. hey.kitchen supports installation, service and acceptance digitally: appointments are coordinated automatically, checklists and assembly instructions are available in digital form, and every step is documented in an audit-proof manner. Combined with SHD's ERP systems, this creates a continuous flow of information that also seamlessly integrates partner solutions such as those of SHD's Dutch subsidiary Simar. Individual processes thus become a connected, efficient customer journey that saves time and reduces sources of error.
At area30 2025, SHD impressively demonstrated how connected solutions are transforming the kitchen industry. Visitors to the stand experienced a digital world in which consultation, planning and ERP go hand in hand. The message is clear: future-ready kitchen planning means intelligently connecting all processes to maximise efficiency, transparency and the customer experience.
Frank Pohl, Vice President Sales DACH: “Once again this year, area30 was a place of exchange and inspiration for us. The direct dialogue with customers, partners and prospects showed yet again how strong the interest in connected solutions is, and how important it is to shape the future of the kitchen industry together. Our thanks go to everyone who visited our stand and made this exchange so valuable, and of course to our dedicated sales team, who were on site with passion and expertise.”
